Final Resolution

TNA WORLD TITLE MATCH: AJ Styles © vs. Daniels

AJ and Daniels are in my mind the Steamboat and Flair of TNA. Daniels feels AJ has hog the spotlight for too long and wants to come out of the shadows and take his place and I think he will because he'll do anything it takes to win and good is dumb. Plus TNA needs a strong heel to face off against Lashley and Angle.
Winner: The Fallen Angel

THREE DEGREES OF PAIN: Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle

Im not going to lie but Desmond Wolfe is my favorite wrestler right now and this is my favorite fued at the moment as well, though I wish they held off on this stipulation for a while maybe going with just a submission match. This sounds like its a fued ending match and if that's the case I'm going to go with angle, but if they want to fued to continue then Wolfe wins. The first part of match pinfall ill go with angle, the second, submission, I'll go with Wolfe with the same move angle used on him last month, and for the third, either man can escape the cage.
Winner: Kurt Angle.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The British Invasion © vs. The Motor City Machine Guns

The machine guns are long over due a run with the tag titles and it's good to see them get their shot, but it's too soon to take the belts off the British invasion.
Winner: The motor City Machine Guns by DQ

TNA KNOCKOUTS TITLE MATCH: ODB © vs. Tara

This should make for an interesting match. Tara is tall and Athletic and ODB has some mass too, so I expect this to be a hard hitting match. Tara looks like she'll be the focal point of the division but I don't see them taking the belt off ODB just yet.
Winner:ODB

EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH: Rhino, Jesse Neal and Team 3D vs. Matt Morgan, Hernandez, D'Angelo Dinero, and Suicide

I like Hernandez, I like Dinero, I like Rhino, I like team 3d and I'm ok with Morgan and Suicide. Still, this is not a match I want to see, but I suppose I should give them props for planning a long term storyline which is what I'm assuming here. then again I thought that they were going to do that with Hernandez and Eric Young.
Winner: Team 3d, Rhino and Neil

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH Bobby: Lashley vs. Scott Steiner

I think both these men are underrated and The stipulation showcases their strenghs and hides their weaknesses. I just hope Lashley doesn't get injured before his strikeforce debut.
Winner: Black Lesnar

FEAST OR FIRED MATCH: Samoa Joe, Robert Roode, James Storm, Kevin Nash, Eric Young, Sheik Abdul Bashir, Kiyoshi, Homicide, Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed, & Cody Deaner

X title: Shiek
Tag Title:Cody Deaner
World Title: Eric Young
Fired Title:Kiyoshi

Mick Foley & Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie & Raven

Raven is one of the reasons I got into wrestling, but this isn't a great showcase for him. Dr. Steveie I'm not as big a fan off. Abyss was great but needs to be repackaged. Mick Foley seems to be preoccupied.
Winner; Raven and Stevie

Only In 2010

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

As the year 2009 comes to an end it brings in new hope for wrestling fans for the next year of entertainment. Let's take a quick recap of what was the year '09 in WWE. HHH, Cena, and Orton were constantly fighting for the title. DX regrouped to sell more merchandise. Hornswoggle remained undefeated against a Mexican Warrior. Jeff Hardy won the title, lost the title, won the title and then left the business to get arrested. Jericho and Big Show proved that the tag titles still mean something to us die hard fans. Last but not least... Edge was hurt once again which allowed CM Punk to develop his character into an awesome heel.

The new year is starting off with new champions. Sheamus is eating his lucky charms while carrying the WWE title around his waist. It's sink or swim time for him. Too bad his feud is with Cena who is terrible at putting people over. DX won the Tag Titles but I don't see that lasting too long since there are two huge pay per views coming up. Drew McIntyre became the new Intercontinental Champion by defeating John Morrison. This is actually really good for Morrison since it's time he gets pushed into the main title picture.

So in 2010 I hope/want to see 5 things happen in the WWE.
John Morrison needs become either WWE/World Heavyweight Champion;
Ted DiBiase breaks away from Legacy and starts a feud with Randy Orton;
Batista continues his heel run and helps younger talent develop with his experience;
MVP finally gets his chance in the main event level;
Edge returns as a face only to team up with Christian and to win the Unified Tag Titles.

If these 5 things could possibly happen it could only benefit the company. Also, if TNA decides to restart the Monday Night Wars, it will force Vince to remove the PG rating and get back to the attitude era. Last but not least... let's hope there won't be any major injuries in 2010.

Until Next Time...

Tables. Latters. Chairs. Predictions.

1)World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Batista (Chair Match)

Undertaker is injured and Batista needs some heat for his heel turn. Should be a fun brawl.
Winner: Big Dave

2)WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sheamus (Tables Match)

Sheamus wins. I feel the important thing to rember in this match was John Cena's declaration of his intent to use his rematch clause at T.L.C. and that WWE seems to be high on Sheamus at the moment, he wins here... in match one. Cena being the hero will use his rematch clause and wins Match 2 in what will probably be a latter match. Following in the tradition of Ortons 2nd and 3rd title wins and not one to be outdone by John Cena, Sheamus cashes in his rematch clause in a street fight and regains his championship much to the bewilderment of Jack Swagger and MVP.
Winner:Cena 1 Celtic Warrior 2

3)Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre

The Euro invasion continues but can Shawn Micheal's boy toy dethrone The Guru of Greatness.
Morrison has had flashes of brilliance all year and it seems the intercontinental tittle is holding him back somewhat. Drew McIntyre on the other hand seems poised to make an impact and this belt would make ppl take notice. Part of me wants to say this match will end in screwy finish starting an extended feud but I have a feeling Morrison is going to take this minor loss before a major victory next month.
Winner: Europe

4)Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

Unlike most people I'm not a fan of this feud. I don't get why people crap over Sheamus but are super impressed with Kingston. Kingston has had a us tile reign, an ic title reign and a tag title reign and hasn't done much with any of them. I think they may give this to Kingston but I'm hoping orton wins here in spectacularly violent fashion.
Winner: Orton(I hope)

5)ECW Champion Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin (Ladder Match)

Both Benjamin and Christian are extraordinary performers but seem destined to stay in mid card purgatory forever. For either of them to have any hope of being main eventers they need this match to be spectacular. The ECW title has become increasingly less and less a priority since its inception not even appearing on PPV for months. Throw in that the brand seems to be in danger of not getting renewed and if it dose the wwe may still scrap it in favor of another superstars like show. ECW needs this match to be spectacular. Throw in this PPV isn't particularly impressive the PPV itself needs this match to be spectacular.

As for who is going to win I have to side with Benjamin. Christian has held the belt for a while now and there don't seem to be too many credible challengers for him. Shelton on the other hand would freshen up ecw and give him his largest career win.
Winner: The Gold Standard

6) Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. D-Generation X (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

For the first time in a long time the tag titles are in a ppv main event. Let me start this off by saying there won't be a winner in this match there will be a survivor(maybe). Shawn Micheal's is getting up there in age and his need to show boat is going to get him injured. Big Show just had knee surgery this match won't end well for him either. HHH first tore his quad in a tag title match with Chris Jericho. Both Edge and Chris Benoit sustained permanent career altering neck injuries from this match. The only person that might come out of this unscathed is Chris Jericho because he has never had a major injury. Then again, if he were to attain one it would be from this match.

If there is God and it can get over HHH stealing it's King of King name and it allows all the participants to survive this could be a good match if for nothing else star power. Jerrishow have been a dominite tag team for a while now and DX is one of the most popular tag teams of all time. If selling merch were a finishing move DX would win this but there seems to be other plans in store for both Dx and Jerrishow.
Winner: Jerrishow

TLC 2009

My WWE TLC '09 Pay Per View Predictions. Tables.. Ladders... Chairs... Oh My!

World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Batista (Chair Match)
This is now the perfect time for the Deadman to drop the belt. I can see Taker holding on to it but it's not the logical choice. Batista needs to look like the dominant heel of the WWE and with his smash matches over Rey the only logical thing to do is now win the belt.
Winner- Batista

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sheamus (Tables Match)
I'm a little stumped on this match up. Sheamus is getting a surprising push but it's in a good way. The only problem is Cena doesn't know how to put wrestlers over. If Sheamus wins this match it will be because of some fluke interference.
Winner- John Cena

Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre
This should be a good match. Morrison could fight a one finned dolphin and make it look entertaining. McIntyre could actually walk away the new IC champion which would allow Morrison to start a feud for the World Title (it's what I really want anyways).  I'd rather see the title change hands on SD. If Ziggler couldn't do it, I don't think Drew can.
Winner- John "Friday Night Delight" Morrison

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton
Well this is the rubber match. Each one of the superstars has one win against each other. Kofi pulled off the win at Survivor Series against Orton but I think that was his only one time to shine. Orton needs to RKO Kofi followed by a punt to the cranium to end this feud. Sorry Kofi but there are others who deserve a major push more than you (MVP damn it!).
Winner- Randall Keith Orton

Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. D-Generation X (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)
The perfect way to end this match is by having one member of DX and one member of JeriShow at the top of the ladder, probably Jericho since Show can barely walk up to a buffet line let alone climb a ladder (it's his injured knee not his weight I swear), and have them each pull down one of the belts. This would end up meaning both teams are tag champs, one World Tag and the other WWE tag. Perfect way to split up the Unified Titles. Then DX can lose the title to maybe Legacy or MVP/Henry on Raw. I don't think this DX n' JeriShow feud will last long since the Rumble and Elimination Chamber ppv's are up next. Those two will most likely be headed into some sort of title picture. Good feud just poor timing.
Winner- DX & JeriShow (each walk away with a pair of the belts)

ECW Champion Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin (Ladder Match)
This match will undoubtedly steal the whole pay per view. I know Vince hates the ECW brand but he would be fool not to let these two end the show. Both competitors have proven to put on incredible death defying ladder matches. On any other occasion I would say Christian walks away still the ECW champ, but they are pushing Shelton as a face now. This could mean if Shelton wins he could have a nice feud with Regal or Vance Archer if they start pushing him up the rankings. It's time for Christian to head over to SmackDown anyways.
Winner- Shelton "The Gold Standard" Benjamin

Until Next Time...

Slammy's

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

With the upcoming Raw being a 3 hour Slammy Awards Special with Guest Host Dennis Miller, I figured I'd make this post my Slammy Award predictions for the year 2009.

OMG! Moment of the Year
Some will say Punk by cashing in the case against Hardy seconds after he won the title but that seems too obvious. This in my mind has to be hands down Orton kissing Stephanie with HHH handcuffed to the ring just a few feet away. This moment took even me by surprise and I thought I'd seen it all. Kudos to Stephanie for doing all she does for daddy's company.

Diva of the Year
Tough call here. Melina, Maryse, or Michelle McCool. I'm going with McCool to win this one.

Tag Team of the Year
Is there any other team that deserves this title more than... shit is there even another tag team other than JeriShow? Harts... nah, Legacy... nope, Carlito n' Primo... they are the only other logical choice but it's not gonna happen. Jericho and Big Show walk away with this award. I bet Show wishes it was made out of chocolate.

Extreme Moment of the Year
Big Show slamming Cena through a spotlight is a good choice. Maybe HHH throwing Orton through his house window? Hardy could win with his Swanton-Bomb off the ladder onto Punk but yet he is facing some criminal charges. Hmm... I'll say they give HHH a Slammy here for his book shelf.

Best Musical Performance
Don't know and honestly don't care. If Santino sang some sort of song this year then he wins in my mind.

Announce Team of the Year
There has been a lot of shuffling around this year with the announcers. Cole and Lawler are a wise pick to win but Vince has been getting on Cole's case this whole year though about his poor performance. I am so sick of hearing "Vintage Cena" every 30 seconds out of his mouth so I can't give him the award. Is Striker able to win this Slammy by himself? I'll go crazy here and say Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura for just that one match. Nice bow-tie McMahon.

Best Finishing Maneuver
Bourne won this last year which is understandable. I give it to Morrison for the Starship Pain. The move is just awesome to watch.

Match of the Year
This award is a little hard for me to pick since I never order the pay per views. HBK and Taker at WresteMania is still being talked about so I guess that is my vote. I'd have to see the matches WWE nominates to vote otherwise but I still think this has to be the winner.

Breakout Star of the Year
Hands down, without a doubt, no questions asked.... John "Friday Night Delight" Morrison. If he doesn't win I'll be shocked. I know he isn't new to the scene like Kofi or Sheamus but those two haven't done anything but take up good wrestling time with their poor promo work (not their fault, it's creative's). Last year's nominees were Kofi, Bourne, Dibiase and Koslov with the Russian winning the Slammy. Good choice on their part (sarcasm). Morrison has had some of the most incredible matches this year and has become a crowd favorite. Give this award some credibility by allowing Morrison to win. It could also make Miz jealous and give us another good Miz/Morrison promo feud that leads into another ppv match.

Superstar of the Year
If you had to give this award to the superstar who actually had the best year I would say Chris Jericho. But if I am giving this award to whom may have the biggest impact by winning the award then I would say CM Punk. It could go really well with his whole gimmick of "I'm better than you because you're a drug infested alcoholic". Randy Orton also has his own right to this award but unfortunately he had some awful matches. Not his fault though, it was his competition. I'll be sick if Cena wins it but it also wouldn't surprise me. I give this Slammy to PUNK!

I left out Damn! moment, WWE.com exclusive, and best impression. These three could all possibly be left out of the awards. There may even be a few added like best guest host which could go to Ventura, Trish or Piper. My pick would be Shaq for his altercation with Big Show and lots of press the wwe got from him.

Until Next Time...

Risen from the Ashes, Only to be Burned Again

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

News coming from inside the walls of  the WWE is that after the new year their ECW brand/show could be receiving a whole new format. It seems that SyFy is not too pleased with the current ratings at an average of 1.0 (that's about what TNA's Impact averages as well. I'm just sayin'). Now some people will be saddened if WWE & SyFy bury the ECW brand but I, on the other hand, am one to look at the brighter side of a tragedy. Let's face it, the land of extreme died years ago and Vince really had no right to revamp something that was once great. The promotion made it's fame with the help from beer drinkin', bar fightin', redneck n' rowdy fans. That's not how Vinny Mac likes to promote his business. He enjoys making his millions from 12 to 16 year old merchandise wearing kids. It was doomed for failure from the start.

With ECW being taken off of tv could mean a whole new opportunity for the WWE. All good things must start somewhere. Now the census is that they would create another C-Rated show like they had before with Heat & Velocity. There were many good things that came out of Heat. One example was it was the place for pay per view previews. It was like Monday Night Countdown for wrestling. Unfortunately we must endure these stupid ppv promos every Raw, SD, Superstars, and ECW shows. Heat was good for getting you pumped up and ready for the Sunday night big show.

Let's not forget to mention that Heat & Velocity were good ways to allow the new guys tryout matches before being shipped off to the bigger shows. SyFy could move the "new show" to Sunday nights with a new format of Sunday Night Heat. ECW is being used at a stepping stone right now for development wrestlers anyways so it wouldn't be that big of a change. The show Superstars is working well the way they have it. WWE needs that show for the mid carders to perform when they will not be used on the two main shows. The new Sunday night show would be used for almost everyone/everything else. I would even go one step closer and show small clips of matches held at FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) which is WWE's minor league developmental promotion. It could be like a little preview of who might be on tv soon. Additionally they could show some of the good things the wrestlers do when they're not in the squared circle. Sometimes the fans enjoy seeing Cena do his "Make A Wish" ECW, in my eyes, has been the better show as of late mainly because of the new/fresh talent they have. No one wants to watch the same matches week in and week out. That's not possible with ECW because there are constantly new superstars being brought in with the "New Superstar Initiative".

With ECW being burned to the ground could mean a new show rising from the dead, Heat. Vince doesn't have to call the show Heat but I think it's time he brings back that style of show. Most likely it's going to keep its average 1.0 ratings which I don't see SyFy having a problem with for a Sunday night. Allow the Ghost Hunters to guest host the first night, since that's the networks prime show, if ratings is what they are really looking for. The WWE just lost some higher up decision makers so let's see what the new people in charge can do. Bring on the HEAT!

Until Next Time...

An Event for the Ages.

Lets get something straight there is only one pro wrestling company. That is the WWE. Though there are others they are not in the same league. By the same token the UFC is the only mma promotion in the U.S. Both Strikeforce and TNA are clear seconds but distant seconds. Both the WWE and the UFC are so firmly established they are pretty much synonymous with their respective sport in the way the NFL is with football and the NBA is with basketball. In all likely hood that won't change. Even though strikeforce has has the #1 ranked heavyweight in the world and a deal with a major network and TNA has some of the best in ring talent and the biggest wrestling draw of all time(even if its a decade past his expiration date) but that doesn't mean much.

Both pro wrestling and mma live and die with their stars. In mma star power is measured in wins and losses. So While Fedor may be the best in the world all the other major heavyweights are in the UFC. Same thing with most of the other weight classes. Strikeforce may have one or two great fighters in each weight class, but for the most part the best in the world reside in the UFC. Since pro wrestling is scripted TNA has a different problem. They lack visibility. Their only stars reconizeable to the main stream are ex wwe and wcw guys way past their heyday. While they may be doing a good good building up new stars now, pushes don't make stars recognizable to the mainstream. It dosen't bring in a new audience. So what ever good work they do it wont mean anything if no one watches.

In order to truly compete Strikeforce and TNA need to do something big. Something that will catch the attention of everyone. Something like compete with each other in a joint event. Crazy I know. Wrestling is scripted mma is not. However there are several wrestlers in TNA that train in mma. For starters a certain gold medalist who may be the best prowrestler to ever live, TNAs most recognizable name and some1 who has been training in and talking about making the leap into mma. Set him up with a fight with the new strikeforce light heavyweight Jake Shields. If Kurt wins strikeforce gets the largest draw since Brock Lesner. If Kurt loses Jake shields gets the largest possible rub defeating a former gold metalist and mainstream celebrity.

Another guy who is actually trying to do both mma and wrestling Bobbey Lashley could make his Strikeforce debut at this event. TNA's largest home grown talent Samoa Joe is known to train avidly in judo and jin jitsu with Team Punishment, Tito Ortiz's training camp. James Storm was a state wrestling champion in high school and A.J. Styles has an impressive wrestling background and they both could possibly be competent mix martial artist as well. Let's not forget Tara's altercation with Kim Coulter at Bound For Glory that was to set up a mma fight between the two. An event between these two promotions would be a promoters wet dream and if done right could bring in major audiences that not only currently watch only the WWE or the UFC but could also bring in new fans who don't watch mma or pro wrestling.

#1 Contender Concept

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

Last nights 3 hour edition of Raw with Jesse "The Governor" (because The Body isn't cool enough to say) Ventura was one of most dynamic and interesting one in quite some time. I have always admired and respected the man for his independent views on politics and going against the ordinary life style he lives. Then he does it again with an amazing concept to livin up the show. Jesse says he's tired of seeing the same guys getting title shots and he isn't the only one. His Breakthrough Battle Royal Qualifying Matches and the Battle Royal to be #1 contender brought about some amazing matches and kept me entertained for the complete 3 hours.

Now we all know we can't have these kind of matches after every pay per view so this has myself and TheApostateoftheAgeofPisces brainstorming of a new concept to award a new #1 contender. It's almost like the wwe.com's Power Rankings. Every brand would have it's own #1 Contender Rankings. So for example as it would stand right, November 24th '09, Sheamus would hold the #1 spot on the list. The only way to become the #1 contender would be to challenge him for his spot but only if you were ranked at #2. They could do this with the top 5 and this could also help build small feuds. The superstar in the fifth spot can only advance up the ladder by defeating the number 4, 3, and 2 wrestlers on the list.

Now what about the Champion? If he loses his belt he automatically becomes #1 Contender. This doesn't mean he is guaranteed a title shot because he would have to defend that spot against #2. This means no more rematch clause. This concept would help keep things fresh for the championship titles. I guess I'm just really tired of seeing these wrestlers granted title shots by the guest hosts for no apparent reason (you know who I'm talking about).

Until Next Time..

WWE"S Triple thre- I mean Survivor Series.

The original branded ppv is upon us. Here are my predictions.

1)Team Mickie (Mickie James, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Melina, and Gail Kim) vs. Team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, and Alicia Fox)

Lets start by separating the good from the bad on each team. Melina has been good, Mickie and Gail are both capable but haven't been setting the world on fire as of late and Eve and Kelly Kelly both bring the looks but that's about it. Beth is a god, Michelle McCool and Jillian Hall are both capable and Layla Alica Fox are well ...yeah. Long story short team Michelle is better on paper and should pull off a victory.

2)Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, and Finlay) vs. Team Miz (The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, and Jack Swagger)

Miz is coming into this with a victory will he and his team make it 2 for 2. I think he will. All the members on his team are coming in with some momentum. the Miz obviously coming in off a win over Morrison but also his successful us title reign. Matt Hardy Evan Bourne and Finlay haven't been on a roll lately and Shelton is coming off a loss to Sheamus. On the other hand Drew Sheamus Ziggler and Swagger are coming into this with more momentum.

3)Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, Montel Vontavious Porter, Mark Henry, R-Truth, and Christian) vs. Team Orton (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, CM Punk, and William Regal)

The main advantage team Orton has coming in to this is that they have more experience as a unit. Punk Orton Henry Christian are all former world champions and Regal and Mvp have been in title contention. Kofi dose have momentum R-Truth is picking some up mvp and Henry are gelling as a unit and christian is well christian as well the ecw champion. Ill go with team Kofi here.

4) Batista vs Rey Mysterio

Batista is pissed Rey is injured. This will be brutal and quick and will put Batista over as a monster.

5)John Cena vs HHH vs Shawn Michaels

Will the champ leave as champ or Will the mid life crisis overcome. Shawn hasn't been the most loyal of friends through out his career and HHH has done pretty shitty things to get his double digit title reigns so the doctor of thuganomics is right to bank on dx imploding but how much damage will they do before then. Still I think Dx and Jerrishow have a title match so the champ retains.

6)The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho vs Big Show

Jericho and Show have been a great tag team the past year but now must face each other and the Deadman. I expect show and Jericho to show more unity than dx and may not turn against each other and as cool as it would be to see one of these two as a double champ I see the undertaker retaining.

Competition

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

Back In the late 90's we were witnessing the greatest time on television for professional wrestling. The two biggest wrestling promotions were fighting for the tv ratings and creating new stars at the same time. I'm not going to get into this feud between WWF/E and WCW too much since we all know and watched these events. Now going into the 2010 decade, the WWE rules with an iron fist over any other wrestling promotion out there. TNA has its good pay per views but lacks star power and fan base.ROH and Dragons Gate has young and amazingly talented wrestlers that unfortunately don't get paid enough for their abilities. That is why they leave after they make an name for themselves to earn the big bucks on the higher two wrestling businesses.

The biggest problem going for the WWE right now is their lack of good storylines and not developing new stars. I think the reason for this is not the talent but the lack of creativity. Most creative ideas come from aggressive competition or deadlines. When you have to compete with other promotions you are forced to go above and beyond, out of the box, and accomplish the unpredictable. This is why the WWE needs for TNA to be become more competitive with them. I think the WWE could benefit from TNA moving Impact to Monday nights and even starting a second show on either Tuesday or Thursday. Now that Hulkamania is going to be running wild on TNA, this could boost their fan base a little bit and help persuade Dixie Carter to look into moving their only weekly episodic show to Mondays to compete with the E.

If this should happen in the next few years, I can see the WWE being forced to convert back to the PG-13 rated show because people want things like they were back in the attitude era. Fans are becoming bored with the same drawn out feuds that the WWE is producing. It's not like TNA is any better but at least they have a few young guys to keep things fresh. AJ Styles, Daniels, and Samoa Joe could possibly be as good as Stone Cold and the Rock when it comes to entertaining if they were used properly. Don't get me wrong, the E has some young guys who have tremendous talent such as CM Punk, Morrison, Miz, and Swagger. The only problem is they have that glass ceiling they have to break through. They almost have to pray the top guys such as HHH, HBK, Cena, and Batista take some time off or get hurt so they get their shot.

WCW vs WWF/E developed great stars such as Stone Cold, The Rock, Goldberg, and Chris Jericho. With Hogan and Bischoff now working with TNA can only mean two things; either TNA will become more successful causing the WWE to produce a better product or they will diminish and the fans will be left with just the E to get their daily wrestling fix. Let's hope this brings back the good ol' days of the Monday Night Wars so we can once again be proud wrestling fans.

Until Next Time...

Survivor Series

Well it's that time of year where wrestlers are separated into teams and must compete against each other (normally faces vs heels). Wait didn't that ppv just happen. Hmm..... I think it must be deja vu. These are Erickson's Survivor Series 2009 Pay Per View Predictions.

Team Mickie (Mickie James, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Melina, and Gail Kim) vs. Team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, and Alicia Fox)

These diva matches are always the hardest to predict since they really have no meaning on story lines, at least not anymore. I'm leaning towards the good girls to pull out the victory. I hope there is a little tension between Beth and Michelle that could lead into a good feud for the title.
Winner- Team Mickie

Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, and Finlay) vs. Team Miz (The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, and Jack Swagger)
Miz vs Morrison two pay per views in a row can only mean this match ends up being... Awesome! Not sure where Shelton fits into all of this seeing that he is neither face or heel, but it does give a good boost to team Morrison who gets the nod from me for the win.
Winner- Team Morrison

Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, Montel Vontavious Porter, Mark Henry, R-Truth, and Christian) vs. Team Orton (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, CM Punk, and William Regal)
Very unusual team here. The ECW Champion is forced to join the thugs and Punk has nothing to do with anyone on either team. I don't like it when things are thrown together just for convenience. Let's hope we see Orton punt someone... either team... I don't care. We've seen this Orton gets his ass kicked on Raw right before a ppv too many times. RKO to Kofi for the big W. Maybe something like this...

Winner- Team Orton

Batista vs Rey Mysterio
Well this match wasn't built up to it's potential just yet but I think this isn't a one and done kind of feud. It would be better if one of them were holding the title. With this being the only singles match-up on the card, I have a feeling it could have the best performance. Batista needs to win this one in order to develop the heel gimmick to the level it should be at.
Winner-Batista

John Cena vs HHH vs Shawn Michaels
Awe yes, the match that has no reason to be billed. DX gets a a title shot even though they lost at the last ppv. I can only see the title going to HHH or HBK if they wanted to split them up in the near future. But right before X-Mas when they sell the most merchandise. Not a chance. Cena retains in a most likely boring match.
Winner- John Cena

The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho vs Big Show
This is the toughest call of the night. I'm surprised the Deadman has held the gold this long but maybe his body is in better shape than he leads on. If this match is last on the list than I think there could be a good twist in it. Unfortunately Edge won't be making it three years in a row with a surprising appearance at Survivor Series. Or will he? Dun dun dun. Most likely not, but it would be awesome. I would love to see Y2J walk away the victor to solidify my pick for him to win wrestler of the year. Should be an amazing match and in the end I think the Undertaker pulls of the win via Tombstone Piledriver.
Winner- Undertaker

Until Next Time...
... and now to leave you with a glimmer of hope:

Wrestler of the Year '09

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

As the year comes closer to its ending point we start reflecting on what has happened in the wrestling business for the year 2009. With the Slammy Awards right around the corner I ponder on who could be win some of this year's prestigious awards. I will have a Slammy Awards Prediction post when all the categories are announced but for this article I want to reflect on one individual who has single handily carried the WWE this year. This man won the Wrestler of the Year Slammy in '08 and could, and should, walk away with it again this year. The man I am talking about is the the Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla, Chris Jericho.

Jericho has perfected his heel gimmick and has had some of the best promo workings I have seen in a very long time. Yes he has always been amazing on the mic but this year he has gone above and beyond to even make the other people in the promos look better. Let's not forget his amazing feuds and title reigns. He played the perfect ego maniac wrestler dissing the old timers when he embarrassed Piper, Snuka, Steamboat, and even Flair. We all know most, if not all, of them couldn't hold their own in the ring today but Jericho managed to carry their old wrinkly asses all around squared circle and put on terrific performances. You can even give Y2J credit for Big Show's solid bounce back year by those two holding the Unified Tag Titles since July. They make the perfect brain and brawn team. Jericho also had that incredible feud with Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title earlier in the year that helped SmackDown become the more superior show. I'm sure those two will be nominated for Best Match Slammy for one of their countless altercations.

Chris Jericho has gone above and beyond for the WWE this year and deserves more credit than he received last year. He has carried not only SD for most of '09 but also Raw since he can appear on both brands while he carries Tag Team gold around his waist (and the other on his shoulder). The man even took a punch from Bob Barker, and Mickey Rourke, on national tv and that alone deserves a standing ovation for his dedication to the wrestling business. Hate him or love him, Chris Jericho is the reason people tune in every Monday and Friday nights. This future Hall of Fame inductee is the wrestler of the year in my book. Just when you think he's done it all, he pulls something else out of his sleeve.

Until Next Time...

That Other Championship

ECW! ECW! ECW! Those chants were heard loud and clear from the audience back in the mid-90's. It was once a business that prided itself on going above and beyond for the fans. The ECW Championship was the most prestige belt in the company and has been held by some of the greatest entertainers of our time. Superstars like the first title holder Jimmy Snuka, to The Sandman, Sabu, Raven Taz, and even RVD represented the gold to the current and reformed version of WWE ECW with champs such as Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, and Chritstian.

This title was won over blood, sweat and tears back in day in some of the most daredevil matches ever imagined. In our PG Rated day in age of wrestling means less blood is shed but doesn't mean the title has lost it's importance. To some of us who tune-in ever Tuesday to watch the current state of ECW think this belt means more than the others in the WWE. The WWE Championship and the HeavyWeight Title might get more promo time, bigger ppv build-ups, and even recognized as the foundation of the business doesn't mean the ECW title should get over looked like a second rate belt. That title gets defended more than the other two and in my personal opinion has had better title defenses as well. When people complain about seeing only HHH, Orton, or Cena holding the WWE title need to tune in and see how the current ECW might change hands on any given Tuesday. It seems like the title holder is defending the ECW Championship every other week and there is always a #1 contender match on the show or being built-up for next week.

We all know Vince puts ECW on the back burner when it comes to a title defense at pay per views so of course the title needs to be defended on its weekly episodic show. This is better in my eyes because a majority of people don't buy ppv's anymore because of the expensive prices. This gives the show more of that "what will happen tonight" kind of feeling. Many of today's up and coming stars have held the prestigious championship. ECW may not be on the greatest network or even time-slot but the ECW title holds a lot of importance and will continue to get over looked, but for some of us die-hard fans... that's fine with us.

Heel Turn

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

As most people were expecting the heavyweight championship to change hands this past Sunday, something more impressive came to light. Batista was seconds away from becoming the new champion but came up just short after Rey Myseterio broke up a pin-fall that would have awarded him the belt.  Next, Dave telling his so-called best friend that he was going to "rip his head off" came at a complete surprise. What a perfect way for the much anticipated heel turn by taking out the person who you have won countless matches fighting beside. It appears that "The Animal" has finally snapped.

This could be the start of a great feud between little Rey and Batista. I was kind of disappointed in movement of Dave from Raw to Smackdown because I was afraid of having a second John Cena type of character on the best show WWE has to offer at the moment. This heel turn is exactly what Batista needs and the blue brand could use. Batista has become the lovable teddy bear with a big heart. But now he can feed off of his body size and just destroy people in his war path. It may even be possible to see Orton and Batista wrestling together sometime in the near future which could excite some old evolution fans.

When a person's character becomes a little stale, a face or heel turn could reboot their career and develop a new fan base. Let's see how the writers do with what they have to work with in "The Animal". In the past two year there has been two very successful heel turns; Jericho and Punk. Both have perfected the bad guy persona. Batista can now officially say "I walk alone" and it could be the best thing for him.

Bragging Rights

Raw vs Smackdown Divas Match: Melina, Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly vs Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix & Natalya

This should be be a no brainier. Any team with Kelly Kelly loses.
Winner: Smackdown Stanks

IC Title vs US Title: John Morrison vs The Miz

Rivals turned friends and now back to rivals. This match is a long time coming. Both have been on a hot streak latly and while coneventional wisdom places money on Morrison Ill side with the Miz on this one. The loss here won't hurt Morrison but would the Miz and likewise Miz would get a bigger benefit off of a victory where as it's expected of Morrison.
Winner: chick magnet

World Heavyweight Title Fatal Four Way Match: Undertaker vs Batista vs Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk

Any time you have four guys that leaves a lot of room for surprises, like betrayals, heel turns and clusterfucks. This one though dose have a fun dynamic but in contrast to physical size, styles and personalities. It would be fun to see a line up of the four competitors with the 7 foot tall undertaker, a slightly smaller but still huge Batista, average sized punk and itty bity rey. The personalities are as decidedly different as their sizes clash as much as their wrestling styles. The Champion a man of few words like Batista but shares the theatrical style of Rey Mysterio. He also likes to punish the wicked like CM Punk . As for the match I expect to see the Batista and undertaker to both go after punk and may end up getting in each others ways, and punk to use the distraction to go after the man shorter than himself. Punk and Undertaker have their submission feud going on so expect that to continue here. Smart money is on Punk getting Rey to tap, but I'm feeling a little stupid. Rey will out sneak punk and bring home the gold.
Winner Rey Jr.

WWE Title Iron Man Match: Randy Orton vs John Cena

The eternal rivalry reaches its climax so we must be at the end of time. These are probably the last two I want to see go at it for an hour especially if time ends. I'll make this short in order to compensate for the match. While Cena on smackdown would be a fun swerve and I never underestimate McMahns hatred for smackdown, Cena will not leave Raw. Rhodes will probably come out to help cena but then Dibiase will neutralize him, leading to a fued between Dibiase and Orton maybe they'll make it interesting as a three way and throw in Rhoades.
Loser: The fans

Raw Team vs Smackdown Team: HHH, HBK, Big Show, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry & Cody Rhodes vs Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, Finlay & R-Truth

HHH and friends vs jerichos army of evil doom. I smell a rat. Cuz a member of raw is really a part of jerichos army and his name is show.Big Show. I expect I'm to turn immediately and the match becomes an everyman for himself.
Winner:Jerrishow

Bragging Rights

My predictions for the new WWE concept pay per view: Bragging Rights. A ppv to show which brand, RAW or SmackDown, holds superiority over the other show, along with two title matches.

Raw vs Smackdown Divas Match: Melina, Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly vs Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix & Natalya

I am going to swing my vote towards team Raw because I think there could be a good feud starting on the team SD side with Beth and Michelle. I see one of them costing the other the pin fall. If Mickie would have been apart of this match I would go the other way. The "good girls" walk away with the victory.
Winner- Raw Divas

IC Title vs US Title: John Morrison vs The Miz

Oh how all my wishes have come true with this long awaited match-up. It's time to see which superstar is greater in excellence since their departure from being a dominate tag team. This is a hard match to call a winner since I can see it going either way. Morrison gets the notch since I think Miz can work well with a loss to keep the feud going cause he is Awesome!
Winner- John "The Friday Night Delight" Morrison

World Heavyweight Title Fatal Four Way Match: Undertaker vs Batista vs Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk

I was surprised to see the Undertaker win the title at Hell in the Cell but I would be even more shocked to see him carry the belt for longer than a one ppv rein. It's nothing personal, it's his physical shape. I think it's time to see the belt return to the rightful owner... CM Punk. The straight edge superstar will probably get a screwy win by covering up someone like Rey after Taker gives him a last ride. Good champions always find ways to win.
Winner- CM Punk

WWE Title Iron Man Match: Randy Orton vs John Cena

Now this bout has some interesting stipulations in it. If Cena wins, Orton doesn't get another title rematch. If Orton wins, Cena must leave Raw for good. Well let me think about this... would Vince take his main cash cow off of his A brand show? No way. Cena gets the win but with help from none other than Ted DiBiase. That's right, this is the time for a face turn. I think Ted takes Orton out with just minutes to go in the 60 minute time limit match. Let's see how Cena holds up for this amount of time since he only has a limited amount of moves in his arsenal.
Winner- John Cena

Raw Team vs Smackdown Team: HHH, HBK, Big Show, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry & Cody Rhodes vs Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, Finlay & R-Truth

This is it... all the Bragging Rights in one big 7 on 7 match. Can the Raw team put it's differences aside to pull out the victory? I would normally never wager against DX but I must say that having the Big Show on opposite sides of Chris Jericho makes me wonder if the world's largest athlete will help out his Unified Tag Team partner when push comes to shove. I'm going with my under card pick of the night and taking team Smackdown. Every ounce of me says Raw will prevail but it also just seems too obvious. Go blue brand.
Winner- Team Smackdown

 Until Next Time...

Guest Hosts

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

As we embark on another Monday Night Raw special guest host, I feel it's time I express my thoughts on the whole concept. I must say that after Vince bought Raw back from Donald Trump and he adopted the guest host idea, I enjoyed it to a certain point. Something different every once in awhile is a good thing in show business, but I must say that it's getting a little stale now. It seems like the hosts keep booking the same kind of matches (normally in the favor of the good guys). Most of these hosts admit they are huge wrestling fans but a majority of them pronounce some the wrestlers names wrong. I think this idea would have worked better in a sporadic time table. I would say appear on the episode of Raw before or directly right after a pay per view. That way it doesn't interfere in any kind of storyline build-ups.

The only two hosts that left an impression in my mind was Shaq, who over powered the Big Show and made SportsCenter headlines; and Trish Stratus, who got involved in some in ring action of her own by throwing around some divas. Big Ben and Bob Barker had good appearances as well but nothing impressive. Dusty Rhodes had a nice little twist at the end of his appearance by helping out Legacy but it was ruined in my mind by next week since Cody didn't even do anything to defend his father. I mean it wouldn't hurt Legacy if Rhodes or DiBiase would confront the leader (Orton) every once in awhile and have the master of the RKO put them back in their place by striking fear in their fragile hearts.

I think the guest host idea was brought upon with good intentions but has been on a downward spiral for some time. Vince can revive this concept by having Stone Cold, Ric Flair, or The Rock appear soon. I know it must be hard for them to find top celebrities to agree to host Raw but people don't watch wrestling to see the people on the cover of Star magazine. We watch because the wrestlers are celebs in our eyes already. Vince should come back to Raw on a regular basis (and stay off of SD because why ruin a good thing) and announce a new guest host every few weeks to run his job. Oh and don't get me started on allowing the hosts to do a multi-brand divas trade. How about next time make it a storyline for the switch from brand to brand.

Until Next Time...

Who Will Prevail?

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

Announced last night on Raw, at the Bragging Rights pay per view, there will be a match that many have been anticipating for quite some time. The current Intercontinental Champion, John "Friday Night Delight" Morrison vs the new United States Champion, The Miz. I can't recall the last time that I have looked forward to a match between old friends (you can't count the Hardys feud because it was as dreadful as watching the Abe Washington Show). The Miz & Morrison are in the history books as one of the greatest tag teams of all time by holding both the WWE Tag Team and World Tag Team championships. Not only do these two competitors have in ring charisma but they are flawless with their promo skills.

This match could easily steal the show since they both have been putting on great performances as of late. I must give credit due to their time spent in ECW to develop their individual characters. Morrison has been stepping up his game every week on the blue brand by defeating not only legitimate future IC title holders such as Ziggler but also by defeating top performers like Rey Mysterio (to win the belt) and even CM Punk. The Miz has had a little bit more of an interesting time since his switch to team Raw. He even lost his job at one point a few months ago. But like all good heels do, he returned with a vengeance. You might even give credit to his recent success when he switched to the black trunks. I think it gives his character a more sophisticated look by taking a chapter out of Jericho's book. The Miz has had an excessive amount of matches with Kofi, Bourne, and even his lengthy and humorous feud with John Cena. He may have gotten his ass beaten a few times by the chain gang leader, but it was a good career building move.

In a sink or swim business like pro wrestling, catching the attention of the audience on a weekly basis is the only way to survive. These two have accomplished just that task. Once a great tag team... hilarious talk show hosts on The Dirt Sheet, for which they won a Slammy Award... both former Tough Enough competitors.. and potential future WWE/World Heavy title holders. The Miz and John Morrison will no doubt put on an exciting match-up. I can only hope Vince gives them the time frame to put on the performance that they are capable of. Let's hope this ppv match builds for a bigger and long lasting feud. My prediction leads towards Morrison for a clean win but The Miz is still Awesome!

Until Next Time...

Missed Opportunities:Bragging Rights

A ppv dedicated to WWEs 2 brands facing off is a good if not an obvious idea. Seriously, what took them this long. Wait, why don't they get it still?
Its simple you have the Champions of one brand face off against the equivalent title holder of the other brand. World vs World, US vs IC, Women's vs Divas tag vs-enn scratch that last one. It could be like a high school wrestling match you get so many points for a pin so many for a submission and to make it interesting winning brand gets three or so draft picks. This is something Ive wanted to see since the wcw vs wwf invasion angle though I always envisioned this take place at survivor series but hey its on ppv that works too. i thought they had it they even began to set it up in the multi man tag match at the smackdown 10 anniversary special then I herd john Cena challenge Randy Orton to an Ironman match.Wft!
Its not like I'm entirely against this match I'm just against it on a PPV about Raw vs.Smackdown. This could wait for Armageddon.
This is what Bragging Rights should look like.

Randy Orton vs Christian Cage with cage getting the win

Michelle McCool to face off against the only other women to hold both the Women's and Divas titles, Mickie James.

Mvp and Henry vs Jerrishow vs Batista and Rey Rey for the tag titles.

Undertaker vs Orton with orton getting the win.

John Morrison vs The Miz

Leagcy vs Crime Tyme vs Koslov and Zeke

Christian Undertaker with the Undertaker winning.

John Cena DX Borne and Kofi vs CM Punk, Ziggler Drew Mcentrye and the Hart Dynasty.

Then vince comes out and says he hates draws and announces one more match.

Undertaker vs Christian vs Orton in a winner takes all match won by Orton.

Missed Opportunities: Knockout Tag Team Championship.

When I first herd TNA were going to create a women's tag division I was a little excited. I've always liked woman's wrestling and tag wrestling so put the two together great combo. Add that TNA started out pretty well with the knockout divison but lately it has become a train wreck this would have been a good way to return it to its rightful place especially with the return Scott Demoore who first led it to greatness in the first place. However things didn't turn out as well as I hoped.
For starters they rushed the tournament so they could get the finals on the ppv before the biggest ppv of the year. Yes, the powers that be rushed the creation of the first women's tag championship in a major American promotion in a quarter century so they could squeeze it in on a minor wrestling show that takes place 1 month before their largest show of the year, where generally important things like the creation of new titles should happen. TNA also only had one established woman's tag team at the time(ok,maybe 2 if you count Kong and Saeed), and they didn't bother to make sure the visa of the main wrestler in the team had her visa shit worked out. That's a bitch move TNA. So their remedy they just throw a bunch of women together showing just how much they care about the division. In the final nail of the coffin the longest match in the tournament was 5 minutes.
What I would have done if I wanted to, you know, make the titles to mean something is give the tournament a little time. Have Dixie Carter make the announcement of the new division at hard justice 2 months before before bound or Glory with one tournament match a week on impact for six weeks with the finals at Bound for glory. While I would put some random people together I would have also brought in some outside talent like maybe a team from a Japanese promotion like TNA did with No Limit earlier in the year. I would have also done everything possible to hire Trish Stratus and Lita to at least a short term contract and bring them in as a team. These two are easly the two most popular woman's wrestlers of the decade and both are pretty good in the ring. By bringing in these two ladies it instantly adds credibility and brings attention to the titles. I would make it so in the finals are a three way match between Trish and Lita, Kong and Saeed and the beautiful people with the beautiful people winning by pinning Saeed then have Trish and Lita get another shot at the next ppv. the final ingredient I would add would be something TNA seems to be fond of at Bound For Glory's in the past is a special guest enforcer. A certain female athlete who just became the first womans champion in her sport in the first Womans MMA match to main event a PPV, Chris Santos Cyborg.

I apoligise for how off the predictions were

they were really really off dearreader. I is sorry.

Another Rematch?

Welcome to The Daily Slam!

Ladies and gentleman, we present to you match number 237 between Orton and Cena. I would imagine that number is probably about accurate right about now. This time they up'd the ante though. Of course they had to have another gimmick match but this one I actually like. The 'I Quit' match served its purpose to show how superior Cena can be, but then to have a 'Hell in a Cell' match was a waste of time. The match with steel walls all around the ring is to end long lived feuds, not prolong them. But an 'Iron Man' match (a match which concludes with the winner being whomever has the most pin-falls or submissions at the end of 60 minutes) sounds like the perfect way to put this all to rest. The stipulations make it even more intriguing. If Randy orton wins then Cena must leave Raw and head to Smackdown or ECW (but we all know that he's never going be in the land of the extreme and moronic to even consider it). If Cena wins Orton doesn't get anymore title rematches.

I think JC could boost the ratings on the blue brand and could have some good matches with CM Punk and Chris Jericho down the road. I also don't want another Cena/Orton main event so I'm sad to say that if Orton loses the belt I won't be too pissed about it. Orton needs to refocus on the current dismantling of Legacy so maybe some time away from the title picture could bring this group back to dominance. This could even begin a good storyline of Ted leaving the group and challenging his current mentor. Spoiler Alert- DiBiase's movie, Marine 2, comes out at end of December and does WWE really want to endorse a heel as a movie star? Not likely. Having Legacy break-up their once tightly bonded bromance could mean huge matches between Rhodes/ DiBiase against Orton. If the 'Viper' knows how to do one thing, that's putting other wrestlers over and giving them credibility.

So to conclude, I have to say the outcome of this 'Iron Man' match has it's positives with either result. Does Cena head to SD to liven things up? Or could this mean Orton had to start feuding with other wrestlers in non-title matches? Either way, this is what the company needs. It's time to see some fresh faces in the ppv main event. Let's just hope HHH doesn't want the title back any time soon.

Until Next Time...

New Show Ideas

Bootlegs- Its hard to have any meaningful matches like title changes at shows very few people will see, yet house shows remain a major part of business for promotions. What if a promotion filmed all their shows and took all the best house show matches and put them together in a show. This would add an element of excitement to all house shows while making sure great matches that would remain hidden are seen. To keep will the theme and cost down they could use handheld cameras.

Face 2 Face- A few years ago Wrestling Society X tried the impossible, have a wrestling show that only lasted half an hour an episode. Maybe it isn't impossible, maybe its a good way to get talent over. Have only one match an episode and before each match give each wrestler a 3-6 minute bio. this would be a good way to get new fans invested in a wrestler without intimidating them with the amount of soap opera backstory going on at the time.

NO CHANCE IN HELL... IN A CELL!!!!

WWE US Title Match: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger

I expect Miz and Swagger will gang up on kofi who'll be playing face in pearl for the whole match he'll be resilient but the odds are too great. Swagger will be the dominate wrestler in this match and the miz will be sneaky. As i said we should expect some team work from swagger and the miz but when kofi seems out of it they ll turn on each other expect the miz to be the first to turn. As for the outcome i expect the miz to sneak a roll up on swagger to win his first singles title in the wwe
Winner: The Chick Magnet by roll up.

WWE IC Title Match: John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler

This will be an athletic match between the two fastest rising stars on Smackdown. While Zigger is posed to win intercontinetal gold... just not Sunday. Morrison has a date with either swagger or the miz at bragging rights and Ziggler could use the wait. Ziggler will look strong but there is no shame in losing to The Friday Night Delight.
Winner: The Shaman of Sexy

WWE Divas Title Match: Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox

This wont last 5 minutes. While I think they re trying to push Alicia shes not ready for the belt and Mickie will face the only other women who's held both the wwe woman's and divas championships at bragging rights.
Winner:My Pan- I mean Mickie

Unified Tag Team Title Match: Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs. Batista and Rey Mysterio

Sleeper for match of the night and don't be surprised if another party shows up *cough mvp henry cough*.
Chris Jericho Big show have a long and strong reign fitting a team of two of the most accomplished wrestlers of all time. Still even with their greatness they may of found a match in Big Dave and Little Rey. Rey is faster than Jericho and a higher flyer who's had a little ah vacation and is all rested up. Show however is BIGGER than Dave and more powerful though Dave like Rey should be fresher coming back from an injury. While Rey and Dave may have more experience as a team they haven't tagged in a while while Rey and jr have been tagging the past 6 months. I expect Rey and Dave to win but only one set of titles due to the sneaky nature of Jericho.
Winners: Big Rey and Lil Dave

Hell in a Cell Match : DX vs. Legacy

This will be a close contest between the establishment "rebels" and the comparably Conservative uprising. These two teams have had quite a rivalry that both have seen victory and defeat. No one since rated Rko has been allo- I mean taken it to dx more than these guys. Still expect DX to have a victory if no other reason the old guard is good at guarding their place.
The Winners: The house always wins.

WWE Title Hell in a Cell Match: John Cena vs. Randy Orton

The champ is in hell with the viper. Will this manufactured legend be killed or will super Cena finally vanquish his long time foe. He will and it wont be pretty. Cena will survive hell and the viper eliminating the only major heel left on raw.
winner: You cant see me

World Title Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs. The Undertaker

Phenom vs Punk will the dead man get cut by the straight edge? Yes. This should be a really good match albeit too soon for the hell in the cell. Its make it or beak it time with punk he needs the win here but The Deadman rarely gets defeated though and this is his yard. This wont be punks last ride as I expect him to have a clean victory here and he'll face supercena at Bragging Rights.
Winner:The only Strait Edge SuperStar
